Baytown antique store opens with a treasure trove
Jack's Fan of Antiques on 12 W. Defoe Ave reopened after months closed offering a wide range of items from toasters and Ediphone machines to Burdick sewing machines and 1994 Houston Rockets nesting dolls. Owners Briggs and Sylvia aim for a December grand opening and plan to retire there while inviting locals to buy, sell, trade, or donate as they help revive Texas Avenue business activity. The building, possibly older than 1912, may have housed the old depot and remains preserved with updated electricals.
