Baytown truck driver Valentin Pedraza reached a $79,000 settlement in a suit against Petroleum Solutions of Edinburg over a June 5, 2002 crash at Beltway 8 South and Cullen in Houston. Pedraza endured head neck back and shoulder injuries, was treated at Memorial Hermann Hospital, and underwent therapy before recovery. The case, set for trial in Hidalgo County, settled when Southern County Mutual Insurance doubled its offer to $79,000. Pedraza and his wife have four children and reside in Baytown.
