Custodian Burned In LC Waste Container Blaze
Oscar Hightower a 53 year old custodian at Lee College was burned when a waste container in a chemistry department janitor’s closet ignited and exploded. He was hospitalized with severe left hand and facial burns after supervisor Edward Pugh rushed in to help and extinguish the fire. The second floor was briefly closed due to noxious fumes as officials identified an unknown gas may have been involved.

Heart pump patient Mabuge dies after operation
Charles Victorien Mabuge a 33 year old who received an artificial heart pump at Methodist Hospital in Houston died early today. A hospital statement said kidney and liver failure from a prolonged serious heart condition caused his death. Mabuge from Rochefort Belgium was the patient.
