Forecasters warn of busy Storm season
Hurricane forecasters expect more tropical storms than normal this season. NOAA head Conrad Lautenbacher says it only takes one to make it a bad year. NWS predicts 13-17 storms, seven to ten hurricanes, and three to five major storms. David Paulison of FEMA urges all residents to ready homes and stock at least three days of supplies. El Niño’s past dampening effect has faded, possibly increasing storm activity.
