Baytown hails Spur 330 speed limit dispute
Police will enforce the posted 55 mph on Spur 330 despite state and city plans to raise the limit. Baytown Detective Ernie Yonaga says enforcement follows the posted signs while the highway department awaits council approval. A traffic study suggests raising to 63 mph for the 4.6 mile stretch from Interstate 10 to Airhart Drive, with council action expected June 10 and sign changes about two weeks after.
