Trinity Bay oil platform catches fire near Galveston
A petroleum platform in Trinity Bay north of Galveston Bay burned and produced thick black smoke on Tuesday. Five workers were rescued by a passing tug. no spills were reported. The fire began about 4 45 p m on a platform about 1000 yards south of Point Barrow with the Railroad Commission supervising the response.
