Anahuac ISD updates on summer maintenance projects
Anahuac ISD outlines summer work including enclosing the elementary library and repairing air conditioning pipes. The library now opens to hallways and noise has been an issue. Total for library and pipe work is 56,680 dollars, funded from existing budget after bond rejections. The board also approved paraprofessional raises for 20 staff at max step, costing 7,600 dollars, within budget, and elected Gene Baker president Kendall Barrow vice president Gayle Peveto Long secretary. The band program showed strong gains with high school band earning first division in competitions.
