Pumphrey principal ends 34-year career in education
Dr. Joy Harrison and her family moved to Baytown 34 years ago to seize an opportunity finalizing a long career in Goose Creek ISD. A native of Floydad Texas she began as a teacher at De Zavala Elementary and Cedar Bayou Junior School later led Harlem Elementary magnet program then served 14 years as Austin Elementary principal and 14 at Pumphrey Elementary before retirement.
