Two Woodlake drivers Grady Dristell aged 26 and W R Willis 33 escaped serious harm after their heavily loaded truck and trailer broke through the San Jacinto River Bridge railing about 10 30 am and plunged 40 feet into the swamp below. They climbed free, crawled from the cab, and were treated for shock. the wrecker and salvage crews fought to recover the truck and 22 foot drill stem from the swamp as curious onlookers jammed Market Street Road.
