Tornado Ravages Moore Oklahoma Baytown Team Joins Relief
Sue Perry Johnson, a Baytown native and nurse, is part of a Disaster Medical Assistance Team en route to Moore Oklahoma City after a massive tornado. From Will Rogers World Airport she described devastation as a lawnmower cut through the suburb and said the team will head to the scene when called. Authorities indicated survivors and fatalities were near complete as of Tuesday.

No charges filed in Chambers County fatal shooting
Chambers County Sheriff’s Office investigates a fatal shooting in Anahuac around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Deputies found 53-year-old William Bryan Brown at his home after a 911 call. Search for Hartman Bridge jumper continues in Houston Channel
On Tuesday crews from the Harris County Sheriff's Department Marine Division searched the Houston Ship Channel near the Fred Hartman Bridge for a man believed to have jumped the previous day. Chief Deputy Jason Finnen said no body had been found as boats patrolled the area.

Mother's Day Banquet Honors Homeless Mothers in Baytown
Baytown businesswoman Enya Fanus of Elite Five Star Management Group organized a Mother's Day banquet for mothers at the Bay Area Homeless Shelter. On May 12 at the Baytown Community Center from 2 to 5 p.m., eight mothers received gifts, flowers, trophies, and guest speeches to honor them and involve their children.
