No Trump Dilemma: Duck Spades and Sneak a Club Trick
In a no trump play after West leads the spade king, count top tricks and plan. With eight sure tricks, duck the first two spades to force East discard, then win the third. Aim to establish diamonds if possible, and seek a sneaky fourth club via West with the club jack, choosing lead of the club nine to invite a cover or miss. When finesse is used, lead the lowest winning card to avoid a cover, or the highest if a cover is desired.
