Bay Area Relay for Life Sees Hopeful Turnout and Funds
About 200 people joined the Bay Area Relay for Life under sunny skies as the 2021 event raised 125,519.37 dollars on its website, with co leader Kimberly Dillard predicting a final total near 190,000 before year end. The campaign aimed for 250,000, noting COVID-19 constraints kept many teams away. Dillard hopes for a normal 2022 celebration and urges ongoing donations via relayforlife.org/bayareatx or checks to American Cancer Society Bay Area AFL, P.O. Box 758, Baytown, TX 77522. Survivors participated in vehicle convoys rather than a track walk this year.
