New Curtiss-Wright Facility Brings 100 Texas Jobs
Texas officials joined Baytown and Chambers County leaders to celebrate the $36 million state-of-the-art Curtiss-Wright Flow Control facility in Cedar Crossing. The project, begun September 2010, will produce large vessels and equipment for refining and petrochemical markets and support valve production for severe-service industries. It has booked $17 million in new orders and is described as one of the industry’s most modern purpose-built plants.

Persevering War Hero Hobart Enoch Remembered in Baytown
Former Baytown resident Hobart Enoch is remembered for wartime valor and postwar service. He endured a severe head injury in Europe, wrote poetry in recovery, and inspired others while serving as Goose Creek tax assessor and community volunteer. He died May 10 in Walnut Creek California at age 88. Graveside services with military honors were held Monday at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
