Calvin Mundinger won the Baytown mayoral race with 2,183 votes to Mercedes Renteria’s 741 amid a turnout under 10 percent of 32,000 registered voters. Early voting fell from 1,116 in 2002 to 654 this cycle. council seats also changed hands and Old River-Winfree installed Jerren Young as councilman for Position 5.
