Liberty County District Attorney Mike Little announced jury selection will begin Monday in the trial of Sonny Nelson Bivins 44 of Dassetta charged with facilitating an escape from Liberty County Jail and perjury. The case ties to a Jan 4 1983 escape in which inmate Ward Hamilton was allowed access to a car while Bivins was a jailer.
