Equitable Head Denies McCarthy Loan Offer
Thomas L Parkinson of Equitable Life denies any new $8,000,000 loan to Glenn McCarthy. He says the company holds a first mortgage on McCarthy oil and gas wells and a lien on pipeline payments, plus a $5,000,000 hotel mortgage. Production declines under Texas law have reduced funds to meet current payments. Equitable has received all interest on McCarthy Town and deferred two amortization payments.
