Ganders regroup after rain delay in playoff setback
Alvin area high school baseball saw Robert E. Lee and Fort Bend Austin battle under sparse skies. Rain halted play at Nolan Ryan Field after five innings with Lee trailing 5 to 0. UIL rules require seven, weather permitting the game will resume at 1 p.m. Today, Lee has six outs to extend its season. Coach Hackney called the delay a possible blessing and said the team will approach the restart focused and ready.
