Washington AP report recalls Dr. Leland Haworth of the National Science Foundation and companions as the first guests at a new Dubna hotel near Moscow. They were advised to bring wash basin stoppers and extra plumbing to obtain water, and Haworth recounted water splashing as the tub pipe failed to connect.

Drunk Motorist in Chattanooga Collision Charged
In Chattanooga Tennessee AP report, motorist Charles Tinker 26 of Americus Georgia said to Patrolman Clyde Ingle that he believed the other vehicle ran the red light. Tinker was charged with drunken driving after a collision at an intersection claimed there was no traffic light.
