Abortion views align with Texas Medical Association policy
Dr James H Sammons newly installed TMA president says TMA abortion views do not endorse abortion on demand and stress medical criteria. He notes policy allows abortion by licensed physicians in licensed hospitals with proper medical consultation and local physicians cannot be forced to perform. He supports possible law changes and osteopathic considerations, urging broad physician involvement.
