Baytown Adds Fixed Route Service Linking Local Hubs
The Baytown Fixed Route service, a Harris County Transit Services project, will connect Ward Road to Kilgore Cedar Bayou and James Bowie to Beaumont Street with transfers to Routes 1 and 2. It links San Jacinto Mall Lee College and Houston via major hubs. The service, ADA compliant with wheelchair lifts, charges $1 for adults and 50 cents for children seniors and disabled, with free rides for under twos and LC students. A covered central stop at Park Street and Garth Road is under construction and slated for completion by Friday.
