Most 'Grads' In New York Go Higher
New York City high school graduates pursued higher education at high rates. A City University of New York study found 76 percent of last year’s 68,400 grads entered full time higher education, up from 57 percent the year before and above the national range of 55 to 60 percent. The rise is linked to CUNY’s open admissions policy begun last fall, guaranteeing admission to all city high school graduates.
