Lee College commencement set for Friday evening
More than 350 students will walk the Lee College stage at a 7 p.m. commencement with a Baytown Concert Band fanfare and processional. Mark Himsel and Michael Murphy will speak as four students join the Hall of Fame and several faculty scholarships are awarded, including the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship worth up to 30 000 per year for 50 plus recipients. Kirren Tillis will give the keynote address.

A busy 51st Baytown Youth Fair and Livestock Show drew hundreds to Baytown Youth Fairgrounds with 26 goats 12 lambs and 58 hogs shown by local children. Organizers announced swine and Ag mechanics events ahead of steer shows and a unified showmanship on Thursday May 12 with Friday May 13 slated for more events.
