Rains finally reached the coastal Baytown area on Wednesday, soaking dry earth after more than a month without moisture. The rainfall measured at .44 of an inch in Van Ska, with West Texas also receiving rain and storms. Tornado warnings and thunder storms moved through the region, causing accidents and fatalities from lightning and a plane crash near Paducah.
