City 911 Center Nears Opening By Year’s End
Construction on Baytown’s 17,902 square foot 911 center behind the fairgrounds east of North Main Street and south of East Wallisville Road progresses toward a year end operation. The facility houses dispatch services for public safety after hours public works and information technology. Designed by PGAL Architecture and built by Turner Construction, it aims to coordinate first responders efficiently with advanced technology and withstand Category 4 hurricane winds as Baytown funds stronger resident services.
