Emily Finds Freedom in Music from Elton John to Local Gigs
Emily grew up drawn to music after an early Elton John moment at a fair. She endured illness in Baytown, found her voice by mowing the lawn to Elton John, learned guitar under Kevin Hardin, and married Jerry Griffin in 2001. They welcomed Aubrey born prematurely, with Emily singing by his side in intensive care. Now a regular at Rooster's, she writes songs, performs at local cafes, and believes music is essential to her life.
