Emigrants Called Prime Targets For Execution By The VC
Report from CAMP PENDLETON describes Vietnamese refugees arriving in the United States as potential targets of the Viet Cong. Officials note up to 20,000 could be housed at Pendleton and Chaffee bases as dependents or relatives of Americans who worked in Vietnam. Evacuees are processed as prospective immigrants while awaiting Congress action on citizenship, with airlift and filtering procedures outlined by American agencies.
