The EPA and responsible companies International Paper and McGinnes Industrial Maintenance Corp reach an agreement to isolate dioxin from the San Jacinto River waste pits behind a containment structure within a year. Residents downstream and those who eat local fish face ongoing risk as containment aims to stop dioxin releases into waterways and Galveston Bay.
