The National Weather Service forecasts a mixed weekend with a 20 percent storm chance today and a high of 84. Tonight, a 30 percent shower risk and a low of 72. Sunday brings higher thunderstorm chances at 40 percent as winds shift from south to north by northwest, low 65 tonight. Monday peaks at 86 with a 63 low, then Tuesday and the rest of the week expect sunny skies and mid-80s highs.
Baytown officers found seven stolen Ford pickup trucks inside a Setco Inc building at 700 South Main Street around 11 a.m. The vehicles were taken from Baytown La Porte Seabrook and Chambers County areas in a series of thefts.
Three large brass valves were stolen from the athletic complex at Goose Creek Memorial High School between Wednesday and Thursday. Police are investigating with no suspects yet. A Baytown man commented on the case, noting there is nowhere to hide when police pursue you.
Baytown police arrested a man in the 2100 block of Charlotte Drive on a Crime Stoppers tip.
