Six Die In Bomber Crash In Lebanon Illinois
Six were killed and two injured when a B 25 bomber on a Perrin Field training mission crashed in a heavily populated Lebanon Illinois neighborhood. The wreck started fires in two houses and debris injured nearby residents as flames and fuel sprayed the area. Captain Coleman of Scott Field said the plane departed Perrin and crashed about 20 minutes after takeoff. Names of the dead were withheld pending kin notifications.
