Houston Methodist San Jacinto opens Weight Management Center

The new center led by bariatric surgeon Dr. Laura Choi offers medical and nutritional counseling plus bariatric procedures to treat obesity. Options include sleeve gastrectomy and Lap-Band, both done laparoscopically, with emphasis on lifestyle changes and ongoing education. Lee College Health Fair Seeks Community Health Support

Lee College invites the public to its ninth annual Health Fair on March 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Sports Arena. The free event features 70 local vendors offering screenings and wellness information. Attendees can get blood pressure, blood typing, body fat, chiropractic and dental checks, with staff available to connect guests to local health resources.
