GOOTs mourn Joe Frank Robins a longtime pal dies at 70
The Gathering Of Old Toots community mourns Joe Frank Robins who died after a seven month cancer battle at age 70. Still known for athletic feats with the Gander/Cedar Bayou Bears and Houston Cougars, he leaves a wife Norine and children Karen Becky and Robbie, plus fellow GOOTs who describe him as a smart, funny leader who loved the Tuesday lunches at Luby's. The tribute notes his jumpsuits and wide knowledge on topics from groundwater to space chemistry.
