Brownwood faced rising bay water and wind driven waves as tides neared 3 1/2 feet. Eileen and neighbors watched streets flood with water lapping yards and edging toward homes while police and emergency vehicles patrolled. A loud beeping message warned residents to use personal judgment as pumps and perimeter roads faced closures along Crow Road and Mapleton.

Fred Aebi Bert Davison LE Or John Sylvester J Hal Thomas and Frankie Pavlat were re elected for three year terms with Pavlat serving the remaining one year. The board reported $28.6 million in assets 1 million in real estate loan funds and 20 000 members up from 18 500. J P Henderson praised growth and noted real estate loan demand while Thomas announced 1 500 new members joined in the year BD Thomas received a $300 grocery gift certificate as second prize went to John B Payne of Beaumont.
