True Pelly memories recall Duke's Hill childhood and local shops
Robert W. Floyd recounts late 1920s to World War II life in Pelly. He recalls Duke's Hill birthplace near Goose Creek, a thrifty three room home on leased land, and a 1927 Hupmobile bought through his father's employer. He lists numerous Pelly businesses along Pruett and West Main, from Carroll's and Massey Electric to Crain Auto Repairs and Mulligan's Café, noting family ties and community details.
