James Edison McKinney 35 was charged Thursday with reckless driving in a 30 mile zone intoxicated driving and damaging city property after a 10 p.m. crash at Pruett and Schilling. Officer Ricks and Jennings investigated. McKinney admitted 35 to 40 mph and the truck rolled over after striking a curb. Wadina Strickland 1811 Chartres Houston was treated for shock at San Jacinto Memorial Hospital. Five beer bottles were found in the truck and the vehicle’s skid marks measured 138 feet indicating 60 to 70 mph.
