Goose Creek Post Office Dedication Sparks Civic Pride
The 1937 Goose Creek post office, designed by Louis A. Simon, opened March 25 with a 70 000 building now a Baytown Historical Museum. Speakers included Karl Crowley and Joe Eagle, with music by the Robert E. Lee Band and a kiddies safety zone lobby feature. Wanda Orton notes the building’s ongoing restoration and history.
