Finesse or up to honors in three no trump deal
In a three no trump hand after West leads the heart queen, the proper plan is to avoid a finesse and develop spades by leading two honors to the hand. Win the first trick with your king, ruffing hearts to create entries, then drive spades toward your honors to reach three quick tricks. If East holds the spade king or the suit divides 3-3, you can gain the needed three spades to make the contract.
