Giant bufo toad invades yard in Florida amid dangers
A Florida resident warns of a giant marine toad, bufo toad, that can reach ten inches and weigh four pounds. Introduced in the 1930s to curb pests, it now proliferates in urban areas, eats anything in sight, and carries potent toxins. Pets and humans risk illness or death if touched or ingested. The warning notes rapid onset from exposure and visible signs like foaming at the mouth and blood-red gums.
