Coastal fishing warms as spring tides boost the bite
Coastal fishermen report a rebound in warm water pelagic species as spring tides lift marsh waters from Sabine to South Padre. Guides note redfish and trout along Sabine Lake, East Galveston Bay, Matagorda Bay, Aransas Bay, and Baffin Bay with hotspots such as the Texas Dike, Rollover Pass, and the Laguna Madre offering trophy fish on top waters, soft plastics, and live shrimp. Guides describe 16-29 inch trout, 25-28 inch redfish, and oversized black drum with clear regional patterns and favorable conditions when winds stay light.
