Remembering Pelly and the old City Hall memories
In this first Pelly column Robert W. Floyd and Lou Floyd Elam share memories from the late Forties after Tri Cities consolidation. V for Vendetta review reads like mixed blockbuster critique
A lengthy piece praising the Wachowskis for a stylish dystopian vision under James McTeigue but finding the film overlong and overly pretentious. It notes Natalie Portman as a strong heroine, Hugo Weaving as V behind the mask, and likens the mood to Orwell and Kubrick while signaling uneven tone. It ends by directing readers to page 4B for more.
