Beverly Rockhold Named To Texas Coaches Hall Of Honor
Beverly Rockhold of Robert E. Lee in Baytown, longtime Texas schoolboy track coach, is selected for the State High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor and will be inducted August 7 in Dallas. He joins Dan Stallworth, making two Baytown coaches in the same hall. Rockhold’s Baytown career spans from 1937 with a WWII interruption, and his teams set multiple state records. The Baytown Relays move to Sterling High School, with plans for a stellar meet April 3 and 4.

Ross Sterling High School bands will present more than 150 students in a duo concert at 7 30 p m Thursday in the school auditorium. The concert band under Thaddeus Cartwright and Thad Cartwright Jr will perform a varied program including a saxophone section feature. Elmer Hargis conducts the symphonic band with pieces such as Hurricane and light classical numbers.
