Father and Son Executed in Kentucky Double Hachet
In Eddyville Kentucky a father and son were executed by electric chair on Friday for the slaying of Louisville lawyer Francis McCormack. Noy Tarrence aged 46 and Leonard Tarrence 26 were put to death after the Feb 26 1852 killing. McCormack had represented Leonard's wife in a suit against Tarrence.

Fire damages tugboat at La Porte Yacht Basin
A tugboat owned by Capt George Wyllie of La Porte caught fire while undergoing repairs at the La Porte Yacht Basin. The wheel house galley and equipment were destroyed before firefighters contained the blaze. Wyllie suffered minor burns and received first aid. The boat was partially insured, according to the captain’s family.
