SUN HISTORY AND SHARED BAYTOWN EVENTS ACROSS YEARS
The Baytown Sun has chronicled 1949 Carnation Milk expansion on South Main, 1952 community aid for a money-strapped cross country traveler family, and 1989 undercover drug arrests in Oak Addition near Robert E Lee High School. In 2002 the paper won a Texas AP award for landfill reporting, with landscaping plans for Baytown’s Historic Oak Tree noted by District 2 councilman. The page merges historical items with a Sean OCasey quote and a Bible verse.
