Stocks Slip As Inflation Dims Fed Rate Cut Hopes
Wall Street declined on Friday after inflation data dampened expectations of a near term rate cut by the Fed. The Dow fell 49.27 to 12110.41, the S&P 500 dropped 5.33 to 1386.95, and the Nasdaq declined 6.04 to 2372.66 as 2.07 billion shares changed hands amid expired options. Burglary at Max Bowl East on Ward Road
Baytown police investigated an early morning break in at Max Bowl East in the 700 block of Ward Road. An unknown white man wore a blue jacket and shorts and stole about $1. A separate report from San Jacinto Mall noted a theft of Joewell hair stylist scissors valued at $200 from MasterCuts by a woman.

Baytown Police responded to 179 calls between 6 a.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday. A man on New Jersey Street reported the theft of a gas powered leaf blower and a five gallon gas can from his vehicle valued at about 92 dollars between Wednesday 3:30 p.m. and Thursday 5:30 a.m. A motor vehicle burglary on California Street at 12:15 Friday morning saw a stereo stolen from a truck valued at about 250 dollars. Calls included nine alarms four assaults one burglary three burglaries of motor vehicles three reports of criminal mischief 18 disturbances two sexual assaults two forgeries one theft three major and 13 minor accidents.
