The county's first polio fatality, 24 year old H. V. Street of Humble, a U S Air Force veteran and UH student majoring in radio and television, died at 1 1 am Friday after entering the Veterans Administration hospital Tuesday. Funeral services set for 2 pm Saturday at Humble Methodist Church with Rev Frank Boutwell. Survivors include his parents Mr and Mrs H W Street Sr of Humble, sister Mrs James E Reese of Houston, brother Pvt Clayton Street at Fort Bliss El Paso, grandmother Mia Nell Trippe of Baytown an uncle EL Trippe and aunts Mrs Sam Carroll and Mrs Jimmie Gray all of Baytown. Street's mother Mary Nell Trippe lived in Baytown before marriage.
About 50 Baytown school representatives traveled to Galveston to attend the District Science Fair sponsored by the Texas Senior Academy of Science. The Baytown delegation includes 7 sponsors and 45 students with exhibits, led by district chairman Calvin, son of the University of Texas medical call in Galveston.
