Chevron Phillips to add 750 railcar storage spots at Cedar Bayou
Chevron Phillips Chemical will add 750 railcar storage spots at its Cedar Bayou plant as part of a 2000 SIT unit plan in the Houston area. Construction runs through 2008, expanding transit capacity without increasing production. Plant officials say shipments will be direct and delivery times cut to three to eight days while noise and light impacts are minimized and trees preserved. A residents panel met with executives in February to discuss the project. For more information contact Kammy Reece.
