A FedEx truck driver tried to gain entry at the ExxonMobil plant in Baytown and was stopped by a guard who doubted his ID. Chief Keith Dougherty said the situation was under control from dispatch to conclusion.

The bid sought a Rural Medicaid Bed Waiver to fund a nursing facility in central Chambers County after a private Anahuach hospital was destroyed by Hurricane Ike. Only a facility in Winnie remains.
The Evening Pilot Club of Baytown plans its annual gala at Goose Creek Country Club on March 17. A group of Pilots and a co-pilot gathered at K&M Stables wearing outfits for Saturday’s event, with named members including sheriff David Westermann and fundraiser chair Barbara McGraw among the dancers and auction participants.
