Commissioners vote to obtain price quotes for Whites Park improvements and divide projects to pick which to fund now. Central plan focuses on covering the arena area with other ideas including seating restrooms and concessions. They also approve plans to convert the old park building into an open air pavilion for gatherings and livestock auctions.
Mont Belvieu City Council approved a multi part agreement with Enterprise Products and the Baytown West Chambers County Economic Development Foundation to expand operations. Construction of two fractionating units valued around 400 million will occur in an industrial district outside city limits with tax in lieu payments for eight years.
Baytown dealership plans a 55,000 square foot addition doubling space to 80,000 square feet. The project follows planning begun in 2008 with a ceremonial start featuring remarks by Mayor DonCarlos and Gulf States Toyota leaders. Construction aims for early 2014 completion.
