ECHS on GCCISD Lee College Campus Draws Praise and Concerns
Goose Creek CISD and Lee College won a Cycle 4 Grant to open an early college high school in 2010-11. The site on a college campus aims to grant a high school diploma and an associate degree or 60 college credits. Opposition from some college staff emerged as plans shifted to the ATC building second floor and district leaders held town halls. Administrator Smithson, new to Baytown postings, will recruit eighth graders for the inaugural class with parent meetings set for April.
