Realtor helps Marine and family find home in Texas
Mont Belvieu real estate agent Holly Jackson of RE/MAX Premier is partnering with the Texas Sentinels Foundation to provide a debt free fully furnished move in ready home in Baytown's Country Meadows for a severely injured Marine veteran and his family. The gesture coincides with the Battleship Texas 100th birthday celebration and includes meals pantry sheets and yard care donations from supporters. The Marine sustained third degree burns over much of his body in Iraq when an IED exploded under his vehicle.

Mont Belvieu weighs wastewater plant options
Project manager Alexander Kuzovkov outlined two plans to fix aging equipment at the Mont Belvieu plant. A renovation to meet TCEQ limits is favored, saving about 3 million dollars versus building anew on city land. Upgrades would extend to headworks, pre filtering, UV disinfection, algae control, electrical and control systems, and capacity doubling planned for 1.5 to 3 million gallons daily in 5–6 years.
