Murder Suspects Back In Houston

Houston police report two suspects, Carolyn Ann Lima and Leslie Douglas Ashley, claim self defense in the Feb. 6 shooting of realtor Fred A. Tones. They describe a confrontation in which a struggle led to multiple gunshots and arson to conceal the crime. Ashley says Lima fired after Tones threatened with a knife. Lima says she fired five times.

Baytown Schools arrange absentee voting for April 1 trustee election

The Baytown School Board moves to install a voting machine at the administration building on Mamet Street for absentee ballots.
